Full Job Description Description:
The role is to support the development of camera-based functions, more specifically perception of objects (e.g. lanes, traffic signs, vehicles) in the vehicle surroundings. The job consists mainly on the validation and functional release of image perception modules for USA and Canadian markets. Tasks include test driving, management of requirement, tests, bugs and releases, as the development of supporting tools for process automation. The role will involve communicating with internal stakeholders and suppliers throughout the whole product lifecycle. The person is required to understand and track different driving legislations and market needs at the target areas. The candidate is required to pro-actively analyze problems, assess risks and propose feasible solutions. Finally, the role includes proposal and specification of new features for continuously developing new function.
Salary Range:
$130,000 - $170,000
Requirements:
Duties & Responsibilities Concept Design and Requirement Management (10%) o Work with team in Germany on specification of global scenarios and use cases o Define specific requirements for US and Canada, including differences in regulation, culture and environment o Support on requirement definitions for remaining countries of North and South America o Work on market specific features o Project planning and tracking, including synchronization with stake holders in Germany and in China o Support the creation and implementation of functional architectures, safety analysis and safety concepts Testing (45%) o Support the definition of measurement setup and cars together with involved parties o Definition of test scope, test cases, test locations and scenarios considering the specific needs of the functionality and the current level of maturity (e.g. definition of tests on module, component or system level) o Organization and execution of test drives in USA and Canada, in order to evaluate function (expectation of 8 to 16 weeks of the year out of the office) o Definition of and implementation of automated tests, with the help of Hardware in the Loop and Simulation Systems. o Test result analysis and reporting o Ensuring the compliance of the intended functionality with all functional and non-functional requirements Problem Management (20%) o Analysis of measured data, identification of problems and reporting o Tracking issues in problem management tools o Work on solutions with stakeholders, assuring feature completeness prior to project deadlines o Follow up escalation processes when necessary Approval (10%) o In charge of collecting all relevant test reports o In charge of collecting the minor approvals of all involved components and functionalities o Assurance enough test coverage for NAR region o Issue a release recommendation based on performed tests and processes Processes and Tools (15%) o Support on the definition, implementation and maintenance of processes related to the function (e.g.
SPICE 2, ISO 26262
) o Analysis, definition and implementation of supporting tools and scripts necessary for achieving project goals
