This position is responsible for development-stage tooling and product improvement, troubleshooting after tooling transfer, supplier development support, and initial production material ordering and receiving management. The role is especially important during the early production stage to quickly identify tooling, product, and process issues and work with related departments to support quality stabilization and production readiness.
Major Responsibilities:
Development-Stage Tooling and Product Improvement Support improvement activities for tooling, product, and assembly issues during the development stage. Track tooling modification, product improvement, and engineering change progress. Follow up on development issues with HQ development team, plant teams, suppliers, and customers when required. Support preventive improvement activities to avoid transferring development-stage Troubleshooting After Tooling Transfer Identify tooling, product, and process issues after tooling transfer. Support response to tooling trouble and product quality issues during the early production stage. Work with tooling suppliers, HQ development team, manufacturing engineering, production, and quality teams to define improvement actions. Support tooling improvements to secure stable quality and production operation during mass production. Tooling and Tool Maintenance Purchasing Support Handle purchase requests, purchase orders, and delivery follow-up for tooling and tool maintenance items. Manage parts, materials, and outsourced work required for tooling repair and improvement. Follow up supplier quotations, purchase orders, and receiving schedules. Summarize tooling maintenance cost and progress status. Supplier Development Support Follow up supplier development schedule and development issues. Manage supplier part development status, sample receiving, and improvement requests. Support communication between suppliers, HQ, and plant departments. Prepare development status, open issue lists, and follow-up reports. Initial Production Material Ordering and Receiving Management Manage initial production material ordering and receiving until three months before MP1. Track ordering schedule, receiving schedule, and material shortage status for production preparation. Work with purchasing, production control, and suppliers to follow up delivery delay risks. Prepare handover documents and status reports for transfer to the Production Control team after the defined timing. Early Production Issue Response Support Quickly identify development-related issues during the early production stage. Support problem solving with quality, production, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, and suppliers. Prepare issue summaries and root cause analysis support data when customer response is required. Track improvement status, responsible person, and target completion date. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive parts, manufacturing, tooling, Development, manufacturing engineering, quality, purchasing, or related fields. Bilingual communication skills in Korean and English. Ability to communicate effectively with Korean HQ, U.S. plant, customers, and suppliers. Ability to manage development schedules, open issues, purchase orders, and receiving status in an organized manner. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Pay:
