The Opportunity:
Deliver comprehensive technical support and engineering expertise across the full product lifecycle-from initial quotation and design to manufacturing and field operations. This role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, driving product enhancements, and developing custom solutions that meet stringent industry standards.
Principle Accountabilities:
Technical Estimating:
Develop custom solution cost estimates based on customer specifications while ensuring adherence to relevant codes (ASME Section
VIII, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8
).
Compliance & Design Review:
Audit fabrication drawings, customer specs, and internal procedures for regulatory and quality compliance.
Engineering Documentation:
Prepare precise engineering calculations, technical reports, and client-requested deliverables.
Project Management:
Manage orders from entry to shipment, including the creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings.
Production Support:
Provide real-time troubleshooting and technical guidance to manufacturing teams across all locations to ensure on-time delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with clients, supply chain, and quality departments to optimize designs, maintain standards, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Lifecycle Management:
Maintain and update existing design documentation to reflect current code revisions and manufacturing best practices.
Failure Analysis:
Perform technical troubleshooting and product failure analysis for customers when required. Including other duties as assigned to support Company goals.
Technical Skills & Qualifications Analytical Rigor:
Excellent problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Design Software:
Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred) and experience with empirical formulas or FEA software.
Manufacturing Knowledge:
Fundamental understanding of metallurgy, machining (lathe/mill), and welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW).
Specialized Expertise:
Knowledge of sealing technology and pressure-containing equipment. Education & Experience
Required:
B.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Preferred:
2-5 years of experience in a related industrial field.
Preferred:
Direct experience with ASME, ANSI, and API design codes.
Preferred:
1+ years of experience in piping, valve, or pressure vessel design.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a technically minded problem solver who bridges the gap between complex engineering design and practical shop-floor execution. They don't just "do the math"; they understand how those calculations impact the welder, the machinist, and the end-user. Work Environment Primarily office-based with frequent interaction on the production floor. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
