Purpose:
The Sr. Product Development Engineer supports the Automated Impella Controller (AIC) Sustaining Team's efforts to achieve operational goals, contributing directly to product performance, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for system-level testing, verification activities, and sustaining engineering support.
You will be responsible for:
Support sustaining engineering activities and product improvements Perform system-level integration, verification, and characterization testing Develop and execute test plans and procedures Test and debug prototypes and document results Analyze data for verification and issue characterization Lead root cause investigations and document findings Create and maintain engineering documentation Develop verification documentation aligned with requirements Deliver technical reports and summaries Collaborate with cross-functional teams Participate in design reviews Coach and mentor junior engineers Apply Johnson & Johnson Credo in daily work
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or related field Experience in system-level testing or product development Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Experience with technical documentation Ability to work cross-functionally Preferred Experience in medical device or regulated industry. Class III medical device experience preferred.
