This individual will be primarily responsible for managing projects through Intralox's product development process- from ideation to fielded solutions. This Project Manager will work in our Baltimore, Maryland office to support our new product development team in the creation of innovative, high-value solutions for challenging real-world problems. This Project Manager will be working with driven and talented people across multiple departments. For a person to be successful in this role, they need to be highly motivated to learn new things, enjoy navigating complexity and demonstrate a wide degree of creativity. This position is not eligible for work authorization or sponsorship. R esponsibilities : Manages product development projects in accordance with Intralox development processes. Develops, monitors, and controls a detailed project plan that includes a scope of work and schedule. Plans, directs, and manages project related tasks. Work with internal stakeholders, commercial team and customers to determine requirements of projects. Serve as a primary point of contact for all project stakeholders and communicate information at the right time, to the right audience. Conduct risk assessment on projects and mitigate risks for work that is activated. Manages project team capacity, identifies resource constraints and facilitates prioritization and trade off decisions with the appropriate stakeholders. Apply expert level project management concepts, practices, and procedures to drive project work to completion. Skills needed to be successful : Ability to navigate within complex topics Ability to problem solve, remove obstacles, and resolve project issues that may slow project progress. Ability to manage projects with large development scope including many interdependencies Ability to turn very loose front-end problem or opportunity statements into actionable requirements Outstanding communication skills: Communicates concisely and clearly Ensures alignment on project goals and checks for understanding Clarifies expectations, builds trust, engages stakeholders Ability to tailor communication and task management depending on development stage and team members involved Holds well planned and productive meetings Active listener and seeks to understand Creates clear and concise documentation Simplifies complex information where possible Understands how and when to take risks, make assumptions, and create plans to validate those assumptions. Technically minded with the ability to understand and communicate different technical concepts related to both mechanical and electrical design. Great at asking questions to get to truth Requirements B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university 5+ years Project Management experience Understanding of Project Management processes and best practices Experience working in cross functional teams Proficient with MS Project, Word, Excel and AutoCAD Effective communication (verbal and written) Strong interpersonal skills with engineering groups, operations groups, customers, suppliers, and contractors Travel Required (~10%) Desired Qualifications PMP or formal Project Management training Product Development Project experience Experience working in manufacturing organizations Understanding of Agile methodologies Working knowledge of Smartsheet Intralox's benefit program is a major part of an employee's total compensation from the company.
