1st Shift SUMMARY Supports the development of new products through design, analysis, technical support, problem solving, root cause analysis, and project management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide technical support to department projects through design, analysis, and test support Uses engineering principles frequently to solve problems Will involve utilizing
EMP DMAIC
process Skilled in root cause analysis techniques Uses engineering principles to perform calculations on a regular basis Bearing life calculations Stress/strain calculations Fatigue life calculations Power consumption, parasitic loss Understands
GD&T, DFMEA, DFM
techniques Interface with customers and suppliers regarding technical matters. Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, design proposals, and project timelines to customers and management. Specify and participate in testing, fabrication, and assembly of advanced products. Initiate and foster relationships with supplier / partner companies. Independently develop timelines and personal goals to meet customer and/or company expectations and goals. Manage moderate sized product development programs. Work with Program Manager or Sr. Dev. Engineer. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3 -7 years of relevant work experience or commensurate experience as decided by the Staff Engineer/Engineering Manager. Computer Skills Skilled in the use of general office software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Proficiency in specialty software packages such as CFX, Imagine AmeSim, Matlab, MathCAD, CREO, ANSYS, IDEAS, Labview, Mechanica, Pspice etc, may be required dependent upon the assignments of the individual.
