Job Description

Job Overview We're looking for a hands-on product development engineer to own our new product pipeline from concept to launch. You'll take raw ideas and turn them into real, validated, manufacturable, sellable parts that end up on diesel trucks across the country. That means owning the full journey - from first sketch to finalized CAD, production fixtures, work instructions, and a clean handoff to the teams that get it on the shelf and out the door. This isn't just a desk job. You'll be in the shop, under trucks, iterating fast, and building things that actually get sold. Responsibilities Take new product concepts (think cold air intakes, sheet metal components, machined components, etc.) from idea to finished, validated design Build and manage CAD files in SolidWorks through every stage of development Source prototype parts, 3D print and prototype fixtures, coordinate test fits on actual vehicles, and document what works and what doesn't Iterate designs based on test feedback until fit, function, and quality are dialed in Design and build fixtures to support repeatable manufacturing Ensure every design is manufacturable considering our in-house capabilities (fabrication, machining, laser cutting, tube bending, powder coat) Create clear work instructions for our manufacturing team Work with the team to establish accurate part numbers and costing Collaborate with marketing to ensure every product is ready for sale - from install guide input to product specs Being part of the full product journey across multiple teams and departments Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Proficiency in SolidWorks (required) Mechanical / automotive knowledge (required) Hands-on mentality. You're comfortable in a shop environment and can work through problems practically Strong attention to detail, especially around fit, finish, and manufacturability Ability to manage multiple projects and move them forward independently Scanning and reverse engineering experience (a plus)
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
