We work with architects, construction contractors, and range owners around the world on projects ranging from live fire shoot houses to commercial and residential firing ranges. We looking to add a Product Engineer to our team.
Position Purpose:
This role will design and develop new products, as well as support, improve, and redesign existing products; modifying and finding solutions to improve their functionality, usability and costs. They will also provide technical support for other departments.
Essential Functions:
New Product Development Develop new products based on user experience and needs, current market trends, general functionality, and in alignment with Range Systems' goals and visions Design models and drawings of new products, using CAD software as necessary, to integrate with mechanical, electrical, PCB designs, firmware and software items Build prototypes in the shop for new products or product changes Conduct rigorous usability and functionality tests, modifying the product based on the test results Fully document designs and support the manufacturing of new products Product Management Design or make changes to products based on user feedback and/or to improve manufacturability, functionality or lower cost Assemble and test products to validate designs Maintain accurate documentation and records of product revisions in our system Assist in the creation of product manuals Troubleshoot, test, and correct product issues as they arise. Product Support Provide internal and external technical support for the company's products Miscellaneous Travel as needed to customer's site to install, test, and troubleshoot any of the company's products Other duties as assigned Required Skills /
Abilities:
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on multiple work activities with time constraints and interruptions to meet deadlines as well as to work independently with a minimum amount of direction and/or supervision Ability to collaborate and work effectively at all levels of an organization Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in SolidWorks Education /
Experience:
Degree in a relevant Engineering field A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role is desired Engineering experience in a robotics environment a plus
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
