Product Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Product Engineer to join our team, focusing on embedded systems engineering and software development. The ideal candidate will work on developing and integrating software solutions for vehicle controllers, enhancing the efficiency and user experience of our embedded software development processes. Responsibilities Perform embedded systems engineering tasks including requirements analysis, operational concept development, software system design/architecture, component integration, design reviews, and controller integration testing. Develop features in C for an internal embedded operating system software used on vehicle controllers. Develop software tools and scripts to increase efficiency and user experience of embedded software development using modern C#. Create test automation frameworks and tests. Lead innovation efforts to define the next generation of tools and workflows for the embedded development community. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing daily user support. Analyze issues and drive resolution of root cause issues. Essential Skills Proficiency in embedded software development using C and C++. Experience with object-oriented software design and C# expertise. Strong understanding of the embedded software development workflow from requirements to machine validation. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a self-directed environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with GNU Make and scripting. Knowledge of CAN communications protocols, including automotive ethernet, J1939, and ISO standards. Technical experience in the design and diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems. Experience developing low-level and middleware drivers for hardware peripherals. Experience with AUTOSAR and proprietary operating systems. Experience in software product delivery using agile software development processes. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
