Salary:
$95,000 | Direct Hire Join a global leader in subsea fiber optic cable systems engineering and manufacturing. We design and deliver critical infrastructure that powers global communications, connecting continents and communities worldwide. We are seeking a New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer with experience in plastics, materials, extrusion, or molding processes to support advanced cable and optical product development. This role supports new product development (NPD) and introduction (NPI) within a high-tech manufacturing environment focused on subsea cables, cable joints, repeater couplings, and related systems. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize extrusion, overmolding, and cable repair processes for high-volume manufacturing Interpret product requirements and translate them into manufacturable engineering processes Collaborate with suppliers to source, specify, and procure equipment and materials Partner with operations and facilities teams to install and commission new manufacturing equipment Plan and execute product trials, validation testing, and process qualification activities Collect, analyze, and interpret production and test data to determine process capability Define and document process parameters and product certification requirements Coordinate with production planning and operations teams to schedule development trials Ensure compliance with engineering standards and product performance requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Plastics, Materials, Chemical, or related field preferred) Experience with extrusion, molding, or wire/cable manufacturing processes preferred Familiarity with cable testing methods (tensile, electrical, optical) is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with statistical process knowledge Ability to use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thermocouples, etc.) Experience with data analysis and reporting using Excel and Word AutoCAD or drafting experience is a plus Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple engineering projects This is a direct hire opportunity with strong growth potential in a globally impactful engineering environment.
