We are looking for a passionate, highly motivated engineer to join our fast growing team in New York City, working on cutting edge sensing technologies that enable a safer, healthier and more sustainable world. Responsibilities & Duties Leads the development of novel gas sensing technologies Designs and builds experimental testing setups Assembles and characterizes gas sensors Develops scalable manufacturing processes for integrating sensing materials Presents at conferences and expos, interacts directly with customers Required Qualifications & Skills BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Physics 2+ years of hands-on lab work experience in a research oriented environment focused on assembling and testing electronic hardware components, interfacing measurement tools using Matlab/Labview/Python Organized, with great attention to detail, a high level of problem solving and troubleshooting skills Preferred Qualifications & Skills MS or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Physics Design, fabrication and testing of semiconductor devices with focus on gas/chemical sensing Microfabrication techniques (e.g. PVD, CVD, wirebonding) Multiphysics simulations (e.g. Comsol, Ansys)
