Job Description

Equipment Development Engineer Location:
Cincinnati, OH Background:
Our client is seeking a Equipment Development Engineer to support equipment new product development activities for medical device manufacturing. They need someone who can help develop assembly equipment and assembly processes. They are in early stage development where they need someone to work with the equipment supplier to help develop the automated assembly equipment. This individual will interact with the supplier and support with design reviews, fabricate equipment, and debug the equipment. The equipment being worked with is used to produce endocutter devices. The ideal candidate has equipment development and NPD experience and is comfortable working cross-functionally with suppliers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development of assembly equipment and processes Work directly with equipment supplier Support design reviews, fabricate equipment and debug the equipment Review and interpret engineering drawings Work cross functionally with suppliers and internal teams
Required Skills:
3 years of Equipment development experience in the medical device space New product development background Experience debugging manufacturing equipment Experience developing assembly equipment and assembly processes Experience validating manufacturing equipment Software validation experience is a plus Ability to read and interpret drawings Strong documentation and communication skills Manufacturing Process Development experience
