Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesAssist teams with problem solving and failure analysis using engineering analysis toolsAssist design and development engineering on assigned projects from concept to production. Provide engineering support and technical assistance to all engineering customers, both internal and externalWork together with team members to develop capable, cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes concurrent to product design activities to ensure robust designs are deliveredInteract with Marketing, Sales, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Designers, Purchasing, and suppliers to meet the specifications and needs of the customer in the development of new, reliable products for the marketAssist and actively participate in Design Reviews / DFM / DFA for new productsAssist in resolving multiple complex engineering problems simultaneously in a multiple team environmentProactively compile, prepare and present data for timely project updates and technical presentations QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering is requiredPrior Co-op/Internship experience including exposure to product development is strongly preferredExperience with 3-D modeling softwareExposure to the following areas:

Failure Analysis and scientific problem solvingFEA, FMEA, DOE and DFMAUse of engineering principles. i.e. fluid, mechanical and thermalInterpretation of statistics related to manufacturing processes and part design. Collaborative problem-solving techniques. Geometric dimensioning and tolerances Analysis of component / assembly tolerance stack-up'sAbility to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environmentAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility and willingness to travel up to approximately 10% of the time both domestically and internationallyAbility to effectively work with domestic and international partners with different cultures and viewpointsWritten and verbal communication skills for dealing with multiple levels of staff, customers and suppliersAdditional InformationFortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. Hiring Pay Range:

$56,000 USD - $77,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
