Job Title:
Product Development Engineer Job Description As a Product Development Engineer, you will lead efforts to enhance and ensure the quality of medical devices and components through design and manufacturing. You will collaborate cross-functionally with R D engineering, manufacturing, technical service, and supply chain to manage the quality, compliance, and cost of these products. You will serve as the subject matter expert within the quality department. Responsibilities Ensure products and product changes comply with specified regulatory agencies (FDA, ISO, UL, CSA, etc.). Develop, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Drive product quality improvements by working with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. Act as a technical lead, managing significant systems and users, engaging in strategic planning, and mitigating risks. Formulate solutions to complex and ambiguous problems, incorporating feedback and solutions from others. Communicate complex technical ideas through daily work, presentations, and workshops. Foster cross-team communication and knowledge sharing, collaborating with teams and management to make critical technical decisions. Champion Six Sigma techniques and drive standardization through continuous process improvement. Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree 8+ years of experience in product development of electro-mechanical products Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action 3D design/modeling experience Experience working within a regulated industry/products Proficiency in Six Sigma Additional Skills & Qualifications Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Six Sigma Black Belt Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $67.31/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
