Job Title:
Product Development Engineer Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative engineer to join our team focused on dairy filling equipment and new product development. This role is critical to augmenting our offerings and maintaining our competitive edge in the dairy product filling industry. Key responsibilities include conducting experiments, analyzing data, creating prototypes, collaborating with cross-functional teams (such as marketing and operations), creating documentation, and ensuring products meet quality standards. We are looking for engineers with strong technical expertise, analytical skills, creativity, and the ability to apply new methods and technologies. Responsibilities Conduct research and analysis by gathering information, data, and samples to identify opportunities for innovation and understand existing technologies. Create and design new products, processes, and technologies. Develop and test prototypes to validate new concepts and designs. Conduct experiments and tests to ensure products meet performance criteria and quality standards. Record research findings, design details, support documents, and testing protocols. Collaborate with other engineers, management, marketing, operations, and finance teams. Investigate and resolve product or process issues. Ensure designs and processes meet relevant industry regulatory compliance. Essential Skills BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field). 5+ years of experience in food processing equipment design or related engineering roles. Experience designing food filling equipment for cultured dairy products such as sour cream, yogurt, kefir, and cottage cheese. Experience with aseptic design principles, including UV sterilization, CIP (Clean‑In‑Place) systems, hydrogen peroxide sterilization, roll‑stock seal application, and laminar flow systems with HEPA filtration. Design experience with industrial filling systems, including rotary liquid fillers, pail fillers, and positive displacement pumps. Additional Skills & Qualifications Product development, mechanical engineering, R D, project management, new product design, new product implementation. Experience in the dairy products industry, research & development, SolidWorks, food processing, and validation. Proficiency in filling machines and equipment development within the automation and filling equipment industry. Work Environment Be part of a team that values innovation and quality.
