As we continue to expand, we are investing in technology to improve both patient and provider experiences. This role will play a key part in building the systems that support our clinics and future growth. Position Overview The Product Engineer is an end-to-end owner of product development across patient-facing technology, internal tools, and clinical systems. This role combines responsibilities typically found in product management, design, and engineering into a single position. This individual will own defined product areas and be responsible for designing, building, and shipping solutions from concept through iteration. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, not just planning. This is a hybrid role with a preference for candidates based in or willing to regularly work from Lehi, Utah (approximately two days per week in office). Exceptional candidates in other locations may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities Product Ownership & Development:
  • Own product features and systems end-to-end, from concept through deployment and iteration
  • Design, build, and ship product experiences across web and mobile platforms
  • Translate business, clinical, and operational needs into working product solutions
  • Contribute to implementation through coding or AI-assisted development
  • Continuously improve products based on user feedback and performance data
Patient-Facing Technology:
  • Own and develop patient-facing systems, including patient portal, mobile app, and communications tools
  • Design intuitive user experiences that drive engagement and retention
  • Build features such as scheduling, messaging, and treatment tracking
Internal Tools & Clinic Operations:
  • Design and build tools that support clinic operations, including onboarding, scheduling, and workflows
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement technology-driven solutions to improve performance
  • Support development of systems that reduce manual work and improve accuracy
Clinical Systems:
  • Partner in the development of EHR-integrated systems and provider workflows
  • Improve systems related to charting, prescribing, and patient tracking
  • Ensure tools are scalable, efficient, and aligned with real clinical usage
Data & Reporting:
  • Define data capture across product systems
  • Build or contribute to dashboards and reporting tools
  • Use data to inform product decisions and improvements Required Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of experience in product, engineering, or product engineering roles
  • Experience owning and delivering software products end-to-end
  • Strong technical understanding of systems, APIs, and data models
  • Ability to design solutions and contribute to implementation (coding or AI-assisted development)
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and execution skills
  • Experience building internal tools, SaaS products, or workflow-driven systems Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare technology, EHR systems, or clinical workflows
  • Background in early-stage startups or 0→1 product development environments
  • Familiarity with HIPAA or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with FHIR/HL7 and other healthcare-specific protocols Work Environment
  • Hybrid schedule: approximately 2 days in office for Lehi-based team members; remote flexibility available for non-local candidates
