Product Engineer Location:
2900 Independence Ct, Elkhart, IN 46514. Position permits telecommuting from a home office with occasional visits to Elkhart, IN office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Build, maintain, and enhance a comprehensive RV product specification and intelligence model, integrating market data, dealership insights, and product performance metrics. Leverage advanced Python programming skills to automate processes, analyze complex datasets, and create predictive tools for market and product intelligence. Utilize BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Studio) to visualize market trends and product performance, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Lead the analysis and design of RV accessories, ensuring alignment with market demands, dealership requirements, and customer expectations. Continuously refine and document product specifications to support manufacturing, sales, and marketing functions. Leverage AI tools and technologies to innovate RV product design. Conduct detailed RV accessory analysis to identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and enhanced performance. Skilled in proactive communication and collaborating with domestic and international partners to source parts and accessories. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of product intelligence across the organization. Maintain a deep understanding of the RV dealership ecosystem and leverage this knowledge to support product development and market strategy. Stay at the forefront of RV industry trends, competitor analysis, and technological advancements to ensure the organization remains a market leader.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related specialized field of engineering. Employer will accept foreign equivalent degrees.
Experience:
In addition to the degree, must have at least 5 years of professional engineering experience. Within this, must have at least 2 years of experience in all of the following: Experience in the RV industry, with product development and market dynamics. Experience working within the RV dealership ecosystem, including product lifecycles, market dynamics, and customer behavior. Experience with RV accessory development, including analysis, design, and market introduction. Integrating market intelligence, product specifications, and accessory insights into a cohesive strategy. Performing data modeling, automation, and intelligence development with Python. Utilizing BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Studio. Drafting in SolidWorks, Fusion, and other CAD tools for RV accessory design. Utilizing AI Applications for internal RV Product Managers. Analyzing and interpreting complex datasets to drive decision-making. Page Break
