Job Duties:

Develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products, employing knowledge of electronic theory and mechanical engineering. Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific semiconductor product (CPU/GPU/APU) or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Implement test strategies for different modules according to the required IP specifications. Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a products lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. Perform definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for product development, including mechanical detail design. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Under limited supervision, exercise judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Requirements:

Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technology, or related field and two (2) years in job offered or closely related engineering role. Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following: Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for SoC testing; Developing, designing, and conducting test methods for semiconductor products; Product development cycles within semiconductor industry; Unix or Linux environments; and Performing hardware verification, validation, and debugging.
