9/80 The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. Supporting the world's bravest. Job Responsibilities Develop and support tests for products/systems, evaluating data to meet customer requirements. Design, analyze, and document complex mechanical and electro-optical products. Provide engineering support to production operations, ensuring design-for-manufacturability and cost-effective production methods. Utilize statistical methods, such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC), to optimize manufacturing yields and reduce cycle times. Lead technical projects, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical assistance to technicians and other engineers. Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization. Can use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments. Qualifications Novice technical expertise and application domain knowledge Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering Experience in a lab environment Troubleshooting experience with electronics Active US DoD Secret clearance preferred U.S. Citizenship required.
