Siemens Grand Prairie Manufacturing facility is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for their Product Development team. You will make an impact by: Leading new product development for electrical equipment (Panelboards and Switchboards). Engineer innovative design concepts utilizing CREO. Create multiple design concepts & perform trade-off studies of those concepts to determine the optimal solutions. Being able to navigate through the unknown and actively seek out new knowledge to apply to projects. Planning and managing projects including scope of work, schedules, costs and completion dates. Preparing prototypes for design feasibility evaluation and testing. Prepare and execute test plans. Working with cross functional teams to drive projects to completion. Creating Part drawings, Material BOMs, Engineering Change Notices as they relate to product development, improvements and/or cost reductions. You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
BSME 2-5
years' experience in new Product Development Engineering Minimum 3 years of Creo or similar 3d modelling software Strong working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), product design and concept testing Hands-on prototyping experience Strong creative and technical aptitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Panelboard / Switchboard design experience Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience
