Job Description

Only qualified Product Development Engineering Technician candidates located near the Salt Lake City, Utah area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.

Education Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in science, math, or engineering progressing towards a 4-year degree OR minimum of four years related experienceQualifications-
  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential job functions
  • Lab experience
  • Attention to detail, working with data sheets and documentationNice to Have
  • Medical device experienceRequirements
  • Works in an office and laboratory environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, and perform general office functions
  • May lift up to twenty-five pounds occasionally
  • May stand for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, stooping and reaching required
  • Assists with engineering activities and performs tasks associated with those activities
  • Assists in the generation of formal test protocols and reports
  • Assists in execution of test protocols and procedures sets up and operates test equipment and records measurements with limited supervision
  • Maintains accurate data organizes and presents data in a reportable format
  • Provides process and test method training to manufacturing and QC personnel
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of client policies procedures and ISO and FDA requirements
  • Expedites and tracks development builds through documentation and manufacturing processes
  • Works in a biohazard environment and complies with safety policies and proceduresKnowledge and Skills
  • Proficiency in personal computer software especially Minitab and Excel
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work under supervision
  • Basic organizational math and statistics skills
  • Knowledge of standard laboratory practices
  • Ability to collect record and report data accurately detail oriented
  • Technical writing proficiency
  • Aptitude with testing and manufacturing equipment
  • Task-orientedQuality Focus
  • Assists in system assurance including documentation testing inspection product and process development and non conforming product investigations
  • Supports manufacturing new product development and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines
  • Assists with product failure and root cause investigations
  • Research and Development Focus
  • Assists in concept generation design development and evaluation of new products materials and technologies
