The NPI Engineer is responsible for leading the successful launch of new Gauge and Display products at the Battle Ground, WA facility. This role serves as the primary point of contact for cross-functional NPI projects, driving alignment across operations, engineering, quality, sourcing, and other key stakeholders to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to Polaris' safety and quality standards. The NPI Engineer oversees the full product introduction lifecycle integration to production. From feasibility assessment and pre-development through production launch, while managing timelines, budgets, and change control. This role also leads manufacturing readiness efforts, including design and validation reviews, PFMEA development, and pre-production builds, while applying structured problem-solving and continuous improvement practices to ensure robust, scalable manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Partner with operations and engineering leadership in the development of new product Leads communication and alignment across teams Manage execution timelines for predevelopment through start of production Track and manage project budget Operate as site point of contact for new product cross-functional communications Lead key components of initial manufacturing design and validation reviews Review and assess product manufacturing feasibility and readiness Lead development and validation of PFMEA's Conduct pre-production build assessments Develop quotes and business cases for new product opportunity Strategic planning and oversight of new and current program development Own change management for new and existing product Manage and compile customer and stakeholder requirements Lead root cause investigation using structured problem-solving tools Other duties as assigned Requirements BS/MS in Engineering or other related field 3-5+ years of experience in related field Ability and willingness to travel if required Preferred Qualifications Experience in technical specifications, ordering, run-off, installation and qualification of equipment/tooling Lean manufacturing experience Basic understanding of end-to-end business operations such as component tooling, validation loops, supply lead times, inventory management and ERP, quality control, outbound logistics Strong experience in project management - plan, develop and execute PMP training and certification Key Skills Ability to effectively influence and work in cooperation with cross-functional teams Strong leadership and interpersonal skills - ability to work in a matrix organization and effectively lead without direct positional authority Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Project, or other project management software Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to identify and solve complex technical problems Excellent creative thinking skills Detail-oriented with strong analytical and time management skills The ability to establish clear, measurable goals and deliver on commitments Review product designs and drawings Deep understanding of phase/gate product launch processes The starting pay range for Washington is $81,000 to $107,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range. To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
