Onsite/Remote:
Onsite Position ## Your Responsibilities As a Sr. Product Engineer- CAE for John Deere Horicon Works located in Horicon, WI, you will provide analysis CAE guidance to Residential Lawn Equipment and Utility Vehicle product lines. In addition, you will:
- Contribute to Product Verification & Validation (PVV) planning to maximize CAE benefits for project teams.
- Lead root cause investigation to resolve issues.
- Provide cross functional support to PVV and design.
- Advise and guide offshore CAE team on complex analysis activities.
- Train and mentor design teams to execute simple analysis. VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position ## What Skills You Need
- 4 or more years of experience in mechanical engineering FEA simulation (Ansys, Abaqus or Altair only)
- 3 or more years of demonstrated broad knowledge of testing domains.
- 3 or more years of experience improving product verification plans.
- 3 or more examples of identifying failure mechanisms from field and test experience.
- 2 or more years of experience successfully leading and guiding a multicultural team. ## What Makes You Stand Out
- Demonstrated experience of process improvement and or application of new tools & methods for product engineering.
- 2 years of experience in data acquisition and structures testing.
- Team contributor in LETS, Innovation Day, Community of Practice, or other organization.
- Experience analyzing bolted joints, nonlinear static and dynamic structures with the use of FEA tools, including vibration and fatigue. ## Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or a closely related discipline.
