The Senior RF Systems Engineer will serve as a definitive technical authority, driving the strategic direction of complex RF and microwave system development, leading high-level architectural design, and engaging/mentoring a team of engineers to deliver cutting-edge hardware solutions. Key Responsibilities Define and lead the architectural vision for complex, next-generation RF/microwave systems, translating high-level mission requirements into detailed hardware specifications. Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all RF engineering matters. Lead critical design reviews, provide final technical approvals, and drive engineering best practices. Architect high-performance transceivers, active electronically scanned arrays (AESA), complex synthesizer architectures, and wideband RF front-ends. Develop comprehensive, system-level validation and qualification strategies. Oversee the resolution of the most complex, escalate able hardware anomalies and integration challenges. Act as the primary technical liaison between hardware, software, systems engineering, and external stakeholders or prime contractors to ensure seamless system integration and performance. TS/SCI Must have unrestricted work authorization in the U.S., as sponsorship is not available at this time Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related technical field. Required Skills, Experience & Abilities 15+ years of experience 5+ years of dedicated professional experience in RF/Microwave hardware design, schematic capture, and PCB layout optimization. Advanced proficiency in industry-standard RF simulation tools (e.g., LabView, Keysight
ADS, ANSYS HFSS, CST
Microwave Studio) and ECAD software (e.g., Altium, Allegro). Deep understanding of RF test methodologies, impedance matching, calibration, and hands-on laboratory troubleshooting. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR), radar system architecture, antenna design, or Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is highly advantageous.
