Engineering Team Lead:
The Engineering Team Lead combines technical expertise with leadership of a small, multi‑disciplinary team to deliver insights that shape the current operations and future network architectures of space communications missions.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide technical leadership to a multi‑disciplinary team by setting analytical direction, defining modeling and algorithmic approaches, and ensuring the rigor, traceability, and validity of analysis products. Develop and advance quantitative models, algorithms, and simulation frameworks grounded in systems engineering and communications theory to expand mission analysis tool capabilities and assess current and future space communications networks. Lead complex system analyses using developed models and frameworks, including analyses of alternatives, network loading and capacity studies, coverage assessments, and RF communications link analyses.
Qualifications Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant industry/project experience, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant industry/project experience, in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
Work Authorizatio n:
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required.
Role / Work
Schedule This is a full-time, on-site position in Greenbelt, MD Preferred Skills Experience with satellite communications ground systems, including RF modulation techniques, error‑correction coding, link budgets, and protocols. Proven ability to lead technically through influence and expertise, mentoring engineers and analysts while maintaining deep engagement in complex technical problem solving.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
