Design, develop, and analyze RF systems and components for defense and aerospace applications, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, and frequency converters.System Integration:
Integrate RF systems into larger defense and aerospace platforms, such as aircraft, satellites, unmanned vehicles, or ground-based systems.Testing and Evaluation:
Conduct testing and evaluation of Antennas and RF systems ensure compliance with performance specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify and resolve technical issues related to RF systems, including signal interference, noise, power limitations, and performance optimization. Conduct frequency planning and management activities to ensure efficient and effective utilization of RF spectrum resources. Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, test plans, reports, and design documentation, to support development, manufacturing, and maintenance activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful integration of the Antennas. Stay updated with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to RF engineering in the defense and aerospace sector.Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees and specialized certifications are advantageous.RF Design Tools:
Proficiency in using RF design and simulation tools, such asMATLAB, ADS
(Advanced Design System), CST Microwave Studio, or similar software.RF Systems and Components:
Strong understanding of antenna theory. Experience with antenna test ranges. Short field antenna testing experience.Testing and Measurement Equipment:
Experience with Antenna/RF testing and measurement equipment, such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.Solving and Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze complex RF system performance issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose effective solutions.Communication and Collaboration:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Why Kelly?
