The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills: The ideal candidate will be trained to provide project engineering and system-level support for generator auxiliary systems across service projects from initial negotiation through field commissioning. Duties include understanding and supporting generator auxiliary design and standardization efforts, performing data-driven analysis, managing quotations, optimizing engineering processes, and maintaining standard design rules and tools. The candidate will coordinate technical activities across cross-functional teams, support enterprise-level system analysis, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver scalable, consistent, and efficient auxiliary system solutions. Additional duties include interfacing with customers worldwide, supporting field commissioning activities, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the power generation environment. What You will
Do:
- Support generator auxiliary system engineering activities for service and modernization projects, with a focus on system optimization, standardization, scalability, and repeatability across auxiliary configurations.
- Analyze SAP Bills of Materials (BOMs), cost data, historical project information, and field performance data to improve quotation accuracy, validate configurations, identify inconsistencies, and support data-driven engineering decisions.
- Develop and maintain standard design rules, configuration logic, analytical tools, and engineering frameworks to enhance consistency, efficiency, compliance, and operational performance across projects and business units.
- Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations including fluid flow, heat transfer, auxiliary electrical loads, equipment sizing, and weight analysis to support project definition, validation, troubleshooting, and upgrade planning.
- Interpret and analyze functional diagrams, control logic documentation, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and system schematics to support system validation, operational analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization efforts.
- Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams to develop, review, release, and maintain engineering documentation and drawing packages including P&IDs, wiring diagrams, outline drawings, piping modifications, technical specifications, and BOMs.
- Conduct design reviews for generator and auxiliary system upgrades/modifications, applying engineering standards and structured decision-making to balance cost, performance, safety, compliance, and standardization objectives.
- Provide technical support to applications engineering, field service, vendors, district offices, and external customer organizations during quoting, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, outage recovery, and operational support activities.
- Support customer presentations, project reviews, witness testing, first article inspections, and operational issue resolution through technical analysis and data-driven recommendations.
- Review, approve, and publish technical specifications, engineering reports, vendor drawings, and customer deliverables while ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards including DIN, PED, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, SIL, ATEX, and NFPA.
- Participate in forced outage recovery programs, product integrity initiatives, and failure analysis activities to support continuous improvement and reliability enhancement efforts.
- Travel as required to customer sites and vendor facilities for inspections, walk-downs, testing, commissioning support, data collection, and validation activities.
What You Will Bring:

Pay Range:
($45 to $47/hr). Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure.
