We pride ourselves on safety, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service. Job Purpose We are seeking a reliable, skilled on-call Gas Insert Installer to join our team for project-based work. This role is not full-time; you'll be scheduled as needed for specific installations, troubleshooting, and start-to-finish installation support for gas inserts, freestanding gas stoves, and gas-fueled fireplace upgrades. Key Responsibilities Scheduled installation, modification, and start-up of gas inserts, freestanding gas stoves, and related gas-fueled fireplace equipment. Inspect and prepare sites, ensure proper venting, gas line routing, and clearances in compliance with local codes and manufacturer specifications. Assist with gas appliance commissioning, leak testing, and safety shut-off procedures. Coordinate with customers to confirm project scope, timelines, and any permitting requirements. Maintain clean, organized work areas and document work performed for service records. Follow all safety guidelines and industry best practices; escalate issues to supervision as needed. Qualifications Valid Gas Piping or HVAC-related certification preferred;

familiarity a plus. Proven experience installing and servicing gas inserts, gas logs, and related appliances. Knowledge of local and state codes (New York) and permit processes. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; ability to read schematics and manufacturer installation manuals. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel to job sites in and around Watertown, NY.
