Petroleum Engineer II RWDY Inc - 4.5 Midland, TX Job Details Full-time $120 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Oil & gas Bachelor's degree in engineering Bachelor's degree Productivity software Cross-functional collaboration Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Job Title Petroleum Engineer II - Well Mgmt RTP-PA Compensation $120/hr (1099 Rate) Location Midland, TX Schedule 5/2 Target Start Date 5/25/2026 Scope Position Overview Well Management Engineer - RTP & PA responsible for design, planning, and execution support of wellwork operations post-completion, including remedial workovers and plug and abandonment activities. This role interfaces across Production Engineering, Operations, and third-party contractors to ensure efficient, cost-effective wellwork execution. Tasks and Responsibilities Design, plan, and provide engineering execution support to wellwork operations post-completion, including remedial workovers and plug and abandonment scope Liaise with Production Engineering to develop cost and scope for opportunity evaluation Develop procedures and provide design input for artificial lift systems Interface with Operations for rig scheduling, execution support, and troubleshooting Coordinate with specialist contractors and suppliers for cost alignment and equipment readiness Monitor daily wellwork progress, track costs, and recommend cost-effective adjustments as needed Travel to company-designated sites to support and oversee operations when required Support wellwork spend forecasting and budget preparation Track, analyze, and improve wellwork execution efficiency Manage contractor performance and ensure data quality within
Wellview Skills and Qualifications Required:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university Minimum 5 years of oil & gas experience Minimum 3+ years of direct wellwork experience (Permian preferred) Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated with ability to integrate into multi-disciplinary teams Willingness to travel to well locations as needed Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and
Wellview Preferred:
Experience with Spotfire, Power BI, or similar analytics tools Direct operator experience (e.g., PNR, EOG, OXY, Diamondback, Endeavor, Permian) Hands-on wellwork experience in workover and completions (not drilling or frac) Additional Notes Strong preference for candidates currently located in Midland, TX Focus on candidates with direct wellwork, operations, and P&A engineering experience Operator background preferred over service company experience Upstream Wells Servicing Opns Department iHJVpUugmx
