Hydrocarbon Logger (Mud Logging) Geosite Inc - 3.9 San Angelo, TX Job Details Full-time $13.50 - $16.00 an hour 1 day ago Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Retirement plan Qualifications Microscopic analysis Geology Mud logging Oil & gas Microscopy Full Job Description We are actively interviewing individuals to begin training as soon as possible. The candidates MUST pass a drug/alcohol test, and submit random samples as requested by the lease operator. The position requires a back ground check as well. This is an entry level geological position in the oil and gas industry. A geology degree is not required, but is preferred. However, we will train the right candidate. This position does require travel, and you must have transportation to and from location. This position also requires the candidate to be available to stay on location for extended periods of time (typically 1-3 weeks at a time), and will typically accrue abundant overtime depending on the project. You must be a self starter, and be able to perform the duties in a fast paced environment. The job involves microscope analyzation of drill cuttings, using various instruments to scan cuttings, maintaining and adjusting gas detection equipment, and reporting to clients in a timely fashion. Pay will be based on experience in oil/gas or related field.
