Job Description

Overview The Reservoir Engineer / Advisor I supports Reservoir Leadership in driving high technical standards, reservoir performance, and development planning across oil & gas assets. This role focuses heavily on r eservoir simulation, depletion planning, economic modeling, and scenario forecasting, with strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, planning, geology, and finance. This is an office-based Houston role (M-F 5/2) supporting unconventional development economics and reservoir evaluations with no travel required. Responsibilities Lead and support dynamic reservoir simulation studies and depletion planning Build and maintain custom economic models in ComboCurve Run well, pad, and asset-level forecasts and scenario economics Execute sensitivities, price cases, timing changes, and inventory modeling Align CAPEX, OPEX, fiscal structures, and corporate assumptions Automate and improve economic workflows for repeatability Work closely with reservoir, geology, planning, and finance teams Translate development plans into economic results Support ad hoc modeling requests and leadership presentations Perform PVT, inflow/outflow, relative permeability, SCAL, and performance evaluations Assess development strategies, risks, and technical uncertainties Support asset acquisition and development planning decisions Mentor junior reservoir engineers Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations Qualifications Demonstrated work experience in Reservoir Engineering positions in Oil & Gas Industry Strong background in unconventional development economics, petroleum economics, or similar analytical discipline. Hands‑on experience with ComboCurve, including: Setting up and editing Econ Models, running forecasts and scenarios, and understanding curve logic, datasets, and workflows. Experience with other economic or forecasting tools (Aries, PHDWin, Spotfire, Power BI, etc.). Prior experience supporting development planning, portfolio analysis, or A&D evaluations. Strong communication skills and experience presenting technical results to multidisciplinary teams. Deliverables‑driven with clear timelines and accountability. Knowledge of scheduling tools (CPM, Python scripts, or schedule/econ automation workflows). Familiarity with unconventional well behavior, type curve methodologies, and decline curve analysis (Arps, multi‑segment, etc.). Proficiency with Excel and data‑driven workflows. Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality results under time constraints. Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
