Job Description
We're seeking a hands-on Welding Engineer Specialist to support high-volume automotive production and drive welding automation, equipment performance, and cost reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead installation and optimization of welding equipment (robotics, welders, jigs, vision systems) Program and troubleshoot robots (Fanuc or Yaskawa/Motoman preferred) and PLC-controlled systems Support resistance, arc, and/or MIG welding processes Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives Improve workflow, layout, and manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency Identify and resolve weld quality issues; support welding maintenance and trainingRequirements:
3-5 years of engineering experience (automotive preferred) Robotics programming experience (Fanuc or Yaskawa/Motoman) Experience with resistance, arc, or MIG welding PLC experience Proven cost reduction project experience Self-managed, hands-on problem solverSimilar remote jobs
