DescriptionAs a member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to work with a group of highly skilled engineers and scientists to bring new experiences to Apple products.

This position requires a self-motivated robotics engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:
Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing AI/ML systems to solve real-world problemsEvaluating and debugging complex AI systemsIntegrating intricate AI systems into a larger software stackDesigning and carrying out protocols for data collection and evaluation with human subjectsPreferred QualificationsStrong proficiency with models of human behavior (e.g. noisily rational decision making, legible motion, etc.)Experience conducting human-robot interaction experimentsStrong proficiency with classical robotic algorithms (optimization, graph search, etc.)Familiarity with the full robotics stack (controls, perception, motion planning, etc.)Familiarity with Swift and Apple developer toolsMinimum QualificationsMS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related field with 5+ years of experience in RoboticsStrong software engineering backgroundAbility to break down large features and implement practical solutionsCuriosity about new technologies, flexibility, and openness to ambiguityProficiency with modern ML approaches (LLMs/VLMs, Diffusion Models, etc.)Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
