The ideal candidate enjoys working with young learners and can introduce foundational coding, robotics, problem-solving, and STEM concepts through interactive activities and projects. This position is ideal for educators, college students, STEM professionals, or individuals with experience teaching coding, robotics, engineering, or technology-based enrichment programs. Responsibilities Lead in-school coding and robotics enrichment classes for K-5 students. Facilitate age-appropriate STEM lessons that encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Guide students through hands-on coding activities, robotics challenges, and project-based learning experiences. Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective classroom management techniques. Ensure student safety and follow all school and company policies. Take attendance and submit brief post-class reports following each session. Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff. Requirements Ability to travel to assigned school sites within San Francisco. Successful completion of a background check prior to employment. Ability to reliably commit to the Fall program schedule. Completion of required training and onboarding documentation before the start of the program. Submission of attendance records and brief session summaries after each class. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching coding, robotics, STEM, engineering, or technology enrichment programs. Familiarity with platforms such as Scratch, Blockly, Code.org, LEGO Education, VEX, or similar educational tools. Previous experience in after-school, in-school, camp, or enrichment settings. Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Education, or a related field.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
