We're looking for someone who is hands-on with technology (both hardware and software), a good team player, and is motivated to take ownership of tasks. Responsibilities Design, implement, and test robotics workflow execution software for emerging robotics and automation applications used in warehousing and supply chain industry Evaluate new and existing robotics technology, and develop algorithms and software that are used to manage and orchestrate autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), picking arms, and other automation systems used in distribution centers (DCs) and warehouses Work with a cross-functional team of engineers (Cloud SW, Mechanical, Electrical) to develop next generation solutions for robotic fulfillment in DC. Quickly implement proof-of-concepts and prototypes for customer demonstrations Work closely with robotics and automation vendors to test and deploy systems in the field Support production deployments at customer facilities Qualifications Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field and some work experience (bonus) in the job offered. Ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years' experience deploying mobile robot systems in warehousing or manufacturing environments Prior experience designing and implementing workflow execution software for robotics, and hands-on experience including installing, troubleshooting, and integration of robotics with other systems Prior experience working for system integrators, robot vendors, 3PLs/Warehouse operators, or manufacturers. Must have strong communication skills as this is a customer facing role. Strong background in computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, or object-oriented design. Proficient in Python and C/C++ programming and multi-threaded applications Proficiency in controls theory, AI/ML, and vision systems
