Full-time (on-site) About the job We are seeking a proactive and responsible Robotics Software Engineer to join our SLAM team. This junior to mid-level position is responsible for developing advanced SLAM systems that enable AGV autonomy in complex environments by delivering high-accuracy positioning and high-definition mapping, and this role focuses on building those systems hands-on from sensor selection to deployment in collaboration with researchers and engineers in the Atlanta lab. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree or higher, in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision or a related field Hands-on experience in SLAM, sensor fusion, or robotics. Strong coding skills in one or more programming languages (C++ is strongly preferred). Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including testing and hardware Responsible, and eager to learn, with a strong ability to absorb new technical concepts quickly and contribute in a hands-on, collaborative environment. Basic PLC knowledge or experience (development, troubleshooting or integration). Key Responsibilities Execute module-based development tasks by following technical direction and established SOPs provided by the supervisor. Conduct research and analysis for assigned modules, evaluate technical approaches, and propose implementation plans before development. Develop, deploy, test, optimize, and refine assigned modules through the full implementation cycle. Support version iteration and software releases by integrating completed module updates into new system versions. Work on one assigned module at a time and ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery throughout the development process. Collaborate with the supervisor and team members to review progress, resolve technical issues, and improve module performance. Provide timely troubleshooting and technical support for field issues as needed. Assist with diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving on-site or system-level issues in coordination with relevant teams. Respond to recurring troubleshooting requests in a timely manner and support issue resolution to help maintain system performance and operational stability.
