Job Description

About the Role Paint Seibi Technician to support advanced automated paint systems across North American Manufacturing Centers (NAMCs). This role is hands-on and focused on robot programming, equipment trials, and quality validation , ensuring paint processes meet Toyota's standards for safety, quality, and productivity. What You'll Do Perform online robot programming for: Sealer, UBC, Dampening Primer, Base, and Clear coat Run trials, troubleshoot issues, and optimize process parameters Conduct offline programming using simulation tools (reach studies, cycle time analysis) Evaluate paint quality using: Elcometer (thickness) Wave-scan (surface quality) X-Rite (color accuracy) Review drawings/specs to ensure compliance with Toyota standards Support equipment installation, buyoffs, and commissioning Create handover documentation and process snapshots for plant teams Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and plant leadership What We're Looking For 2+ years of technical experience (or associate degree in a related field) Experience with robotic paint systems or automated manufacturing Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Preferred Skills PLC programming (Toyopuc, Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens) Experience with robot programming (Kawasaki, Fanuc, etc.) Digital engineering tools (CATIA, DELMIA, SolidWorks, Inventor) Experience supporting equipment installation, trials, and production launch
