Job Description SummaryThe Global Process Engineering Authority - Robotic Process Automation (RPA) will partner with the Global Process Engineering Leader (GPEL) and cross-functional stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade RPA software solutions across GE Gas Power's Global Supply Chain. This role serves as the organizational authority and subject matter expert for RPA technology and intelligent automation, driving the automation of repetitive, high-volume business processes - including data collection, workflow management, and automated reporting - to improve operational efficiency and accelerate GE Gas Power's digital transformation agenda.

- Architect, build, and implement automation workflows and software bots using enterprise RPA platforms (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere)
- Design scalable, reusable automation components applicable across global manufacturing and supply chain sites
- Integrate RPA solutions with enterprise systems including ERP, MES, and data platforms via APIs and system connectorsProcess Analysis & Opportunity Identification
- Analyze complex, cross-functional business processes within Supply Chain and Manufacturing to identify, evaluate, and prioritize automation opportunities
- Utilize process mining tools (e.g., UiPath Process Mining, Celonis) to quantify inefficiencies and build the business case for automation
- Gather and document detailed requirements from business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational needsTesting & Deployment
- Lead end-to-end quality assurance, testing, debugging, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for all automation solutions
- Deploy bots into production environments in accordance with GE Vernova's IT governance, change management, and cybersecurity standards
- Manage RPA Orchestrator environments to ensure reliable scheduling, monitoring, and execution of deployed botsMaintenance & Support
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve existing RPA solutions across the global automation portfolio
- Manage SLAs and escalation procedures for critical production bots, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Proactively identify performance degradation or process drift and implement corrective actionsGovernance & Compliance
- Ensure all RPA solutions adhere to enterprise cybersecurity policies, data privacy regulations, and IT architecture standards
- Maintain version control and audit trails for all automation assets in alignment with compliance requirements
- Serve as the global authority on RPA development standards, naming conventions, best practices, and platform governance frameworksDocumentation
- Produce comprehensive process documentation, technical specifications, solution design documents, and user guides
- Maintain up-to-date documentation to enable knowledge transfer, audit readiness, and global scalability of automation solutionsPipeline & Portfolio Management
- Maintain and prioritize an automation opportunity pipeline aligned with business value, strategic objectives, and resource capacity
- Track and report automation KPIs - including hours saved, error reduction, cost avoidance, and ROI - to senior leadership
- Lead the development and maturation of the RPA Center of Excellence (CoE) framework and governance structure across the global organizationCollaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with business analysts, project managers, IT architects, and operational teams across global manufacturing, supply chain, and finance functions
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Partner with regional teams to support localization, deployment, and adoption of automation solutions across multiple geographiesTraining & Enablement
- Support upskilling and capability building of regional and functional teams in RPA tools and automation best practices
- Act as the global subject matter expert and internal authority for RPA and intelligent automation technologies, guiding strategic direction and technology selection
- Coach and mentor junior team members and citizen developers participating in automation programsAdditional Requirements
- Requires a solid knowledge of mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods and other principles of science and physics.
- Assist in the integration of automation and AI into manufacturing systems that support Next Generation Supply Chain migration globally across GE Vernova. These systems, for example, will include usage-based maintenance / condition-based maintenance / autonomous machine learning / automated resource dispatch / asset monitoring & reliability.
- Engage design for SixSigma methodology (DFSS), including, measuring existing machine capability, analyzing process requirements, and developing a strategy to maintain / improve process yield.
- Deploy lean principles, including, Transformation Planning, Value Stream Mapping, 3P (Production Preparation Process), Total Productive Maintenance, Standard Work, Kaizen, Problem Solving, and Poka Yoke.
Required QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical fieldExperience:
5-7+ years of hands-on RPA development, deployment, and leadership experience in an enterprise environmentRPA Platforms:
Demonstrated proficiency with one or more enterprise RPA tools -UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or PegaOrchestration:
Hands-on experience with UiPath Orchestrator or equivalent platform for bot scheduling, monitoring, and lifecycle managementProgramming:
Proficiency in one or more languages including Python, Java, C#, or .NET; familiarity with scripting languages (VBScript, PowerShell)System Integration:
Strong understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP), relational databases (SQL), and enterprise system integration patternsProcess Knowledge:
Experience automating processes within Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, or Operations environmentsProject Delivery:
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience delivering automation projects through a structured project lifecycleSoft Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skillsGlobal Collaboration:
