Robotics Engineering Technician 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 5142 East Evanston Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 $24.15 - $29.08 an hour - Full-time Eagle Alloy 61 reviews $24.15 - $29.08 an hour - Full-time About the Role We're seeking a Robotics Engineering Technician to join our Engineering team and play a key role in developing and prototyping early-stage ABB robotic grinding cells . This position combines hands-on mechanical and electrical work with the opportunity to help innovate automation systems from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Support the design, prototyping, and testing of robotic grinding systems. Perform testing and evaluation of robotic components. Design and build test fixtures for holding castings during robotic processing. Collaborate with engineers on tooling design , including gating & riser design and casting simulations. Communicate with customers regarding design updates and improvements. Work independently and as part of a cross-functional team to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges. Maintain detailed documentation and reports on testing, results, and system performance. Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager. Safety & Ergonomics Always follow company safety procedures. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required in the plant. Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
Qualifications:
Associate's, Technical, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field . ABB Robotics programming experience strongly preferred. Proficient in 3D modeling software (Solid Edge experience a plus). Knowledge of foundry practices, including draft, core, pattern, and mold design. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Self-motivated and capable of working independently when necessary.
