Job Description

Job Description The Paint Process Engineer supports a large automation client's Paint Process Engineering Department by designing, testing, implementing, and supporting robotic paint systems for customer applications. Paint Process Engineering & Execution
  • Program robots using PaintPRO and offline simulation tools (ROBOGUIDE / PaintPRO)
  • Perform robot program design, robot programming, and spray application engineering
  • Install, launch, and optimize robot programs at customer sites
  • Run spray trials, lab testing, and customer demonstrations
  • Troubleshoot paint lab issues and existing customer installations Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze paint and process data using Microsoft Excel
  • Set up, organize, and interpret data sets to support process optimization
  • Record and interpret paint quality data (film build, defects, color/quality) Robotics & Equipment Integration
  • Perform hands‑on robot setup using teach pendants
  • Optimize integration of application equipment, including bells and fluid delivery systems
  • Support system verification testing at build sites and customer facilities Project & Team Collaboration
  • Interface with internal project teams and customers to execute jobs
  • Coordinate with other engineers during installations
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting throughout project lifecycle
  • Deliver progress updates to management as required

FANUC Robot Teach Pendant Compensation:
$35/hr to $45/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.   • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (~80%) including international travel
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface with customers and internal teams
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership/lead on assignments
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Valid passport
  • Paint process engineering experience
  • FANUC robot experience
  • Fluid delivery systems experience (highly preferred)
  • PaintPRO experience
  • Experience with FANUC paint robots and paint robot programming
