Engineering
Controls engineer
Develop and optimize code for PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and SCADA systems.
Select, calibrate, program, and install sensors , machines and other production hardware as needed.
Integrate and calibrate multi-axis industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Kuka) for tasks like spot welding, sealing, and material handling.
Verify that test setups meet industry standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.) and internal quality requirements.
Work closely with other engineering departments to fix issues, and complete assigned projects.
Other duties as needed and assigned. experience 7-10 years skills Experience in statistical data analysis software (e.g. Minitab) would be a plus.
Creating intuitive interfaces for operators to monitor machine health and clear faults (e.g., FactoryTalk View, Ignition).Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and P&IDs.
Configuring and tuning VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and Servo Motors for precise positioning.
Proficiency in robot-specific languages (like FANUC's TP/KAREL or ABB's RAPID) and experience with vision-guided robotics (VGR). qualifications Mastery of Ladder Logic, Function Block, and Structured Text. You must be able to write and debug code in environments like Studio 5000 (Allen-Bradley) or TIA Portal (Siemens).Advanced programming of Cognex or Keyence cameras for high-speed inspection, 3D mapping, or VIN reading.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, Master's degree preferred.8 years of experience or equivalent education and experience 5 years experience with project management.5 years experience in automotive product development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) required.
