This hands-on role requires advanced experience with PLC programming, robotics, and machine safety systems. You will work closely with engineering teams to deliver fully integrated solutions. Responsibilities Develop PLC programs from scratch, including firmware installation, ladder logic creation, and safety zoning. Configure, program, and commission robotic systems. Define control system architecture and collaborate across engineering disciplines. Create and maintain I/O lists, schematics, and safety documentation. Lead on-site installation, startup, and commissioning of equipment (~25% travel; primarily domestic). Test, debug, and optimize automation systems before delivery. Provide technical support and troubleshooting post-installation. Qualifications 4+ years of controls/automation engineering experience. Proven ability to design PLC and robotic systems from scratch. Proficiency with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley systems Experience programming and commissioning robotic systems (FANUC preferred). Basic understanding of machine safety, DCS, and industrial control systems.
