GENERAL PURPOSE
At NSCC, we are always seeking a pool of qualified instructors to teach part-time, in person, workforce development courses in the following areas within the Community & Workforce Development (CTS)
Division:
CDL, Electrical & Automation, Leadership/HR, Mechanical & Fluid Power, PLC, and Welding. Interested candidates must submit an online employment application and resume to be considered.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
These positions are responsible for instructing, supervising, and evaluating student progress in the classroom. Part-time instructors will also work closely with the full-time Training Coordinators in their leadership, development, assessment, and evaluation of curriculum.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Electrical & Automation
- The qualified applicant must have an Associate's degree or equivalent education and/or experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically maintenance, controls, robotics, engineering, or engineering technology. At least 5 years of experience in designing and maintaining automation systems in a manufacturing or process environment is required. Mechanical & Fluid Power
- The qualified applicant must have an Associate's degree or equivalent education and/or experience in the mechanical engineering, industrial engineering technology, or maintenance field. At least 5 years of experience in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment is required. CDL
- The qualified applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Class A CDL license without restrictions.
Qualified applicant must also have 3 years of on-the-road experience within the last 5 years or military equivalent. Must maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations including DOT physical and DOT drug & alcohol screening. Must have a driving record free of the following: 3 or more moving violation convictions in past 3 years. 3 or more chargeable crashes in past 3 years. 6 or more points in past 3 years. 12-point admin. suspension in last 10 years. - The qualified applicant must have an Associate's degree or equivalent education and/or experience required in the manufacturing industry, specifically maintenance, controls, robotics, engineering, engineering technology. At least 5 years of experience in designing and maintaining automation systems in a manufacturing or process environment required. Leadership/HR
- The qualified applicant will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or related field with 5-10 years of experience in the field. PLC
- The qualified applicant must have an Associate's degree or equivalent education and/or experience required in the manufacturing industry, specifically maintenance, controls, robotics, engineering, engineering technology. At least 5 years of experience in designing and maintaining automation systems in a manufacturing or process environment required. Welding
- The qualified applicant must have an Associate's degree in Welding Technology, Industrial technology or related discipline or a combination of relevant education, experience and training totaling a minimum of 5 years.
