POSITION SUMMARY
The Advanced Manufacturing - Sr. Robotic and Process Development engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and enhancing robotic manufacturing processes for both new and existing products. This role focuses on automation and the validation of manufacturing processes, while also leading continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality production outcomes. The engineer works in close partnership with sales, operations, quality, supply chain and end customers to facilitate new product launches, validate processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Demonstrating exceptional technical proficiency and practical problem-solving skills, this role contributes significantly to advancing manufacturing capabilities and fostering innovation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
include the following. Develop robotic manufacturing processes for both new and existing products. Improve current systems to reduce waste, enhance material flow, and boost equipment efficiency. Lead the development of R D automation and mfg. concept projects. Collaborate with sales, customers and operations to launch and maintain products and processes. Lead machine risk assessments and implement safety solutions for robotic and automated manufacturing systems Support and develop funded automation projects. Foster cross-functional communication. Research and evaluate emerging automation and manufacturing technologies. Provide or support operations training to ensure team proficiency with equipment and procedures. Requirements Specialized Knowledge and Skills Proficient in robotic programming, particularly FANUC Experience using simulation platforms, particularly FANUC Roboguide Strong knowledge of PLC ,HMI and industrial control system Knowledge of machine vision systems and quality inspection techniques Strong knowledge of robotic safety systems, including FANUC DCS and safety PLCs. Working knowledge of SolidWorks or comparable CAD software Experience in machining, particularly FANUC RoboDrills, is a plus Strong grasp of manufacturing principles, including DFM and DFA Capability in conceptual equipment and process development Openness to innovative approaches in manufacturing Skilled at interpreting both 2D drawings and 3D models Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities Advanced troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills Exceptional organizational competencies Ability to effectively utilize hand tools Education and Experience Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in fabrication, manufacturing equipment, or equivalent Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and try new ideas Desire to function collaboratively and drive team growth Bachelor's degree in engineering or minimum 5 years equivalent automation/integrator experience Additional Requirements Ability to independently manage technical projects and priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Some travel required based on project needs Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
