Job Description

Oxford Solutions is working with a client to hire a Robotics Engineer for a direct hire, onsite role. This position is ideal for an experienced robotics software engineer who enjoys solving complex autonomy and planning challenges and translating advanced concepts into real-world robotic systems. Relocations options available for the right candidate. This role focuses on developing and scaling autonomy solutions across a variety of industrial robotic platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate software, hardware, and research-driven innovation into production-ready robotic solutions that deliver measurable value in operational environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement autonomy and planning solutions across multiple robotic systems Solve complex robotics problems related to motion planning, task allocation, optimization, and adaptive control Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration Write high-quality, production-ready C++ code following software engineering best practices Develop and execute unit, simulation, and field testing to validate robotic performance and reliability Support deployment and refinement of autonomy solutions in real-world industrial applications Contribute to scalable software architectures that support diverse robotic configurations Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field (Master s preferred) 5+ years of experience developing complex software systems, ideally within robotics, automation, or AI-driven environments Strong proficiency in C++ and experience working within large, production-level codebases Demonstrated experience with multithreaded programming and performance optimization Strong foundation in mathematics, algorithms, and advanced problem-solving Experience with robotics planning, decision-making systems, or advanced control algorithms Ability to balance rapid development with rigorous technical standards and attention to detail Willingness to travel as needed
