Job Description

Position Overview Cross Schools is seeking an innovative and engaging Middle School STEM/Robotics Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving through hands-on, project-based learning in science, technology, engineering, and robotics. This role provides an exciting opportunity to equip students with critical thinking and design skills while fostering a love for discovery within a Christ-centered educational environment. Primary Responsibilities Teach middle school STEM and robotics courses using hands-on, inquiry-based instruction Design and implement engaging, project-based learning experiences Introduce students to foundational concepts in engineering, coding, robotics, and design thinking Facilitate student collaboration through team-based challenges and competitions (e.g., robotics teams, STEM fairs) Integrate technology and emerging tools into the curriculum Differentiate instruction to support a variety of learners and skill levels Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback Maintain a safe, organized, and well-equipped classroom/lab environment Communicate regularly with students and families Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events Serve as an advisor, mentor, or club sponsor as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in STEM field, Education, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred) Teaching experience at the middle school level preferred Experience with robotics platforms (e.g., LEGO Robotics, VEX, Arduino, or similar) and/or coding languages Strong understanding of STEM integration and project-based learning Excellent classroom management and communication skills Ability to inspire curiosity and innovation in students Proficiency with educational technology A clear commitment to the mission and Christian values of Cross Schools Personal Characteristics Passion for working with middle school students Innovative, creative, and hands-on teaching approach Collaborative and team-oriented Growth-minded and reflective Organized, dependable, and professional Enthusiastic about contributing to the broader school community
