Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on robotics/CAD engineer to support smart contact lens development through robotic eye platforms, precision test fixtures, and rapid prototypes. The ideal candidate can design mechanical assemblies in Autodesk Fusion 360, build benchtop test systems, integrate servos and sensors into robotic mechanisms.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Experience with robotics, CAD, rapid prototyping, test fixtures, or medical/wearable device development preferred. Portfolio of CAD designs, prototypes, robotic mechanisms, or benchtop test systems is strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and prototype robotic eye models, lens-handling fixtures, and motion platforms for smart lens testing. Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and fabrication-ready drawings in Autodesk Fusion 360. Integrate motors, servos, actuators, cameras, encoders, and sensors into benchtop robotic systems. Build test setups for lens alignment, gaze simulation, sensor response, and repeatability studies.
Technical Skills:
Core:
Autodesk Fusion 360, robotics/mechatronics, 3D printing or rapid prototyping, tolerance-aware mechanical design, sensors, actuators, and benchtop testing.
Plus:
Microcontrollers, firmware, embedded C/C++, Python, Arduino/Zephyr, motor control, BLE, I2C, SPI, UART, and small PCB/sensor prototyping.
