Robotics Summer Camp Instructor Bothell, WA Job Details Part-time $18 - $22 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Computer science Teamwork Maintaining an organized workspace Computer Science Robotic systems Software coding Engineering Teaching arts Working with children Safe environment creation After-school program experience Communication skills Teaching Entry level Full Job Description About the role Creative Hands Studio is looking for an energetic and creative Robotics Summer Camp Instructor to lead our weekly LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime robotics program. Each week features a unique project, so campers can join multiple sessions — and you'll keep things fresh all summer long. You'll blend STEM learning with artistic thinking in our vibrant studio environment. What you'll do Plan and deliver weekly robotics projects using the LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime kit, with each week featuring a distinct theme or build challenge. Guide campers through coding and block-based programming to bring their robotic creations to life. Integrate artistic elements — design, sculpture, and visual storytelling — into engineering challenges to foster creativity alongside technical skills. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and fun studio environment for all campers, with a strong focus on positive reinforcement and growth mindset. Communicate with parents and studio staff to ensure campers have a great experience from drop-off to pick-up. Set up, organize, and properly store all robotics equipment before and after each session. What we're looking for
Required:
Experience working with children ages 8-12 in a camp, classroom, or after-school setting.Required:
Comfort with or eagerness to learn LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime or similar block-based robotics kits.Required:
Basic understanding of coding concepts (block programming, loops, conditionals).Preferred:
Background in education, engineering, computer science, art, or a related field. Strong communication skills and genuine enthusiasm for making STEM accessible and exciting for kids. Ability to pass a background check (required for all youth-serving staff).
