The Engineering Technician II will be accountable for the activities of the department requiring the application of skills to operate custom equipment and other systems in support of production and R D activities. You'll be
DISRUPTIVE
through these duties and responsibilities: CNC Machinist Experience Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair production robotics, automation, and interfaces. Establish and perform preventative maintenance. Communicate and collaborate with maintenance and production to ensure timely line setup/change-over. Collaborate with other teammates in technical solutions and implementation. Lead and develop skills of automation staff and assist in directing work and assignments. Design and develop automated systems for continuous improvement and new product development. Specific electrical components and design electrical panel layouts. Create system documentation including BOM, operational instructions, and maintenance schedule. Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects. Adhere to timelines and excel in a fast-paced high-energy environment. Participate in continuous process improvement to increase production efficiencies. Participate in training and classes as directed. Working with engineering and operators to produce prototype parts for engineering builds Work through multiple parallel path options for production methods. Both internal processes and investigation of new processes Work with outside vendors and project engineers for new equipment design Provides technical training assistance to shift operators and Set-up Technicians Reads and understands part prints and process documentation. Able to assist and support corrective action, cross-functional quality, downtime and scrap Familiar with the manufacturing environment and various manufacturing processes Work on manufacturing floor to troubleshoot and improve processes. All other duties as assigned. The TOOLS you'll bring with you: Requires a minimum of Associates Degree Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or related field. Requires 3 years of experience setting up and troubleshooting production automation and robotics. Experience with motion controls, PLC, and robotics (FANUC and ABB preferred) Experience with programming languages such as LabVIEW, Python, SQL, and ladder logic. Experience designing in 3D CAD (NX and Solidworks preferred) Knowledge of mechatronics incorporating hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components. Knowledge of test and measurement tools and techniques. Knowledge of basic machining techniques and tolerances. Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes. Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).
