Description:
The instructor will design and implement elementary level robotic and engineering challenges which require students to build, code and compete with available tools.

REPORTS TO
Innovation Coordinator and Curriculum Coordinator
JOB GOAL
To teach students according to county and state policy, mission, core beliefs, academic goals, and target areas by designing age-appropriate activities and challenges for the students to complete using a variety of maker tools and materials
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possess a valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate.
  • Completion of a successful background check.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide successful instruction
  • Demonstrated ability to provide differentiated instruction and intervention to students exhibiting a wide range of abilities and behaviors.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess demonstrated experience or ability to design challenging problems that students must solve using maker related tools
  • Any additional combination of training or experience which would lead to successful employment as an Elementary Teacher.

  • Adjust instruction based on a variety of assessments and student responses.
  • Engage in professional development for self-renewal that guides continuous examination and improvement of professional practice.
  • Engage in collaborative learning opportunities for self-renewal with colleagues.
  • Participate in collaborative efforts to support the success of all students.
  • Work with parents, guardians, families and community entities to support student learning and well-being.
  • Promote practices and policies that improve the school environment and student learning.
  • Provide measurable progress of student learning of state-approved curricula.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct as defined in law, policy and procedure at the state, district, and school level.
